Bio
Seung-Hwan Lim joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Feb 2012 as a postdoctoral research associate, transited into a staff member in Sept 2013. His research focuses on novel data analysis methods and data analytics platforms, with the emphasis on deep learning, machine learning, and graph analysis. He received R&D 100 award in 2016 as a member of ORiGAMI project, which uses graph analysis on high performance environments for medical research. He is listed as Gordon Bell Finalist in 2018. He obtained PhD in computer science and engineering from Penn State in 2012, under the guidance of Dr. Chita R. Das. He obtained his Master's degree in 2000 and bachelor's degree in 1998, both from Seoul National University, Korea. Between PhD and Master's degree, He worked as a software engineer at Samsung electronics from Feb 2000 to Aug 2005.
