Dr. Pravallika (Pravi) Devineni is a Research Scientist in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Tennessee, USA. She received her Ph.D. from University of California Riverside in 2018, where her dissertation was about mining patterns and identifying changes in dynamic graph networks. Before joining ORNL, she interned at Lawrence Livermore National Lab in Livermore, California, USA performing machine learning to identify failure conditions in multi-physics simulations. Her research interests include tensor decompositions for machine learning and data science, explainable AI using high-performance computing, large-scale network mining, natural language processing, recommender systems and their applications.
Pravi has a passion for advocating for women in tech; she co-founded the Women in Computing groups at both UCR and UNM. She is an organizing committee member for Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC) and is the chair for AI track at Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing 2021. She can frequently be seen volunteering at women in tech events like Hour of Code and Oak Ridge CS Girls.
