Bio
Joseph (Joe) Osborn is an Associate Research Scientist in the Applications Engineering Group in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He graduated with his PhD in Physics from the University of Michigan in 2018. Dr. Osborn's physics research has focused on studying Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and the strong force, the fundamental force responsible for binding protons, neutrons, and their constituent quarks and gluons. Currently, Dr. Osborn has research interests in software development and high performance computing applications in high energy physics research at several facilities worldwide.
