Researcher Profile

Tiffany Mintz

Bio

Dr. Tiffany Mintz is a Computer Scientist in the Computer Science Research Group in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2010 from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. Tiffany's research at USC-Columbia focused on developing application kernels for implementation on accelerator architectures in high end heterogenous systems.

Tiffany came to ORNL as a Post Doctoral Research Associate and later transitioned to a Computer Science Research Scientist position in the Computer Science Research Group. During her tenure at ORNL, Tiffany has conducted research to develop programming models for high performance distributed computing and shared memory systems, in power aware computing developing data motion power cost models for distributed memory systems, in proxy application validation and verification, to enable HPC co-design through proxy app development, and research to develop neuromorphic computing platforms for use on science applications and in HPC systems.
