Hoang Tran

Bio

I received my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from University of Pittsburgh in 2013, under the supervision of Catalin Trenchea and William Layton. After graduating, I joined ORNL as a postdoctoral research associate in the Computational and Applied Mathematics Group within Computer Science and Mathematics Division, and was promoted to research staff in 2016. My research interests include compressed sensing, machine learning, high-dimensional approximations, numerical solution of partial differential equations, and computational fluid dynamics.
