Mark Martin

Mark A. Martin is a Senior Research Software Engineer in the Research Software Engineering group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).  Martin focuses on project execution, software architecture, and software development for the group.

Martin joined ORNL from the Department of Energy's Office of Scientific and Technical Information where he served as Associate Director.  Martin’s background includes information management expertise in leading high-profile program initiatives with federal, academic, and commercial entities, including technical development of high-traffic, high-visibility flagship products; leadership in cyber security with responsibility for the accreditation and certification of large-scale systems; and software architecture experience related to the design of numerous large- scale software projects and system development methodologies.
