Researcher Profile

George Fann

Bio

George Fann has developed scalable mathematical methods, high performance algorithms and software for over 25 years. He is currently deriving and implementing parallel fast O(N) methods for solving multiscale problems in computational chemistry, fusion, material science and nuclear structures.

His research interests include computational harmonics analysis, multiresolution and multiwavelet based methods for solving high dimensional integro-partial differential equations.  He is one of the creators and developers of the parallel software environment MADNESS (R&D 100).  He also developed the parallel eigensolver, fast fourier transform and iterative solution methods for the computational chemistry package NWChem (R&D 100).
