Fady Ghanim

Bio

Dr. Ghanim is working to improve and extend the programming environment for current and next-generation (exascale) supercomputers at ORNL and elsewhere.  As part of the Exascale Computing Project, he will be part of the team developing Flang, the new Fortran frontend for the open source LLVM compiler stack. In conjunction with the OLCF he will be working with application teams, vendors, and various software development teams to help ensure that the needs of OLCF users are well-supported by the programming environment we make available.

 

Prior to ORNL, Fady obtained his PhD in electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Maryland at College Park. His main research focuses on Compiler Design, Program Analysis, and Parallel computing and algorithms.
