Todd Thomas is a Senior Database Administrator and Amazon Web Services (AWS) certified Solutions Architect Associate at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Employed in the Data System Sciences and Engineering (DSSE) group, Todd currently is helping to architect and migrate the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Chemical Security Assessment Tool (CSAT) program to AWS. He has been at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory since 1998, when he began working as a database and system administrator for DSSE. Todd also serves as a database and Palantir administrator the National Nuclear Security Administration Nonproliferation Policy Analysis and Interdiction Resource project.
After making the transition from environmental engineering to information technology in 1995, Todd has excelled as system and database administrator. He is proficient with both Linux and Windows. Todd specializes in Oracle database administration, having completed several Oracle training and certification courses, and manages several other products as well.
Todd is the author of Java Data Access: JDBC, JNDI, and JAXP and the co-author of The Art of Software Testing (2004 edition), both published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
