Achievement
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory Center for Infrastructure Security Analysis (CISA) has secured a three-year ATO for the CSAT on-premises classified and sensitive-but-unclassified systems from CISA-sponsor U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS ATO ensures compliance with the Federal Information Security Management Act, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Office of Management and Budget, and federal laws, directives, and policies.
Overview
For the past year, the CISA team has actively worked to ensure system compliance through meticulous system documentation (including network drawings and documents), hardware and software system upgrades, milestone completion, licensing acquisition, continuing maintenance and management, and coordination with DHS. Primary team members are Ethan Cantrell and Brad Nance from the Computer Science and Mathematics Division and Anthony Seay and Jim Simmons from the Information Technology Services Division. The CSAT is a critical element in the DHS effort to ensure security at the Nation’s chemical facilities. The CSAT has more than 55,000 current users and approximately 3,400 high-risk chemical facilities.
