By leading the engineering of high-quality scientific software, the group will enable scientists to fully exploit the capabilities of future generations of high-performance computing systems to solve some of the most intractable problems. The group focuses on the research, development and implementation of software based on principles and practices that ensure the performance, quality, reliability, and usability of software is paramount, and that the software the underpins science is trustworthy and reproducible.
